Changements climatiques et gestion du territoire
Désormais, les changements climatiques font malheureusement partie du quotidien et de nombreux pays sont touchés de plus en plus fréquemment par de violentes intempéries ou par des vagues anormales de chaleur ou de froid.

Les forêts en font souvent les frais : ce sont des écosystèmes fragiles et précieux en raison de leur rôle irremplaçable de « poumons verts » de la planète, comme l'a également mentionné le WWF lors de la Journée internationale des forêts, célébrée le 21 mars 2019.

Paradoxalement, ce sont les forêts (qui recouvrent 31 % des terres émergées) qui représentent un élément crucial dans la lutte contre le changement climatique.

Que pouvons-nous faire pour les protéger et limiter les dégâts ? La solution passe par une gestion forestière correcte, facilitée par l'utilisation des machines professionnelles FAE.

Voici quelques secteurs d'intervention possibles :

Prévention des feux de forêts
La création de lignes coupe-feu vise à éviter la propagation des incendies dans les zones à haute densité forestière : les broyeurs forestiers FAE permettent de réaliser rapidement des couloirs débarrassés de végétation. Pour éviter les incendies, il est également utile de nettoyer le sol des forêts en retirant les végétaux inflammables (résidus ligneux, buissons secs et broussailles).

Entretien des sous-bois
Quand les intempéries provoquent la chute de nombreux arbres (comme cela est arrivé dans le nord de l'Italie en octobre 2018 pendant la tempête Vaia), il est important de retirer rapidement les troncs et les branches tombés au sol, afin de permettre au sous-bois de se régénérer et de favoriser la repousse des futaies. Création et entretien de sentiers forestiers
Il est important de maintenir en excellent état les sentiers et les routes d'accès aux bois, afin de permettre l'intervention du personnel forestier. Entretien des berges fluviales et des torrents
Le nettoyage des berges fluviales représente une mesure de précaution extrêmement importante pour éviter les inondations dangereuses pour l'homme et pour l'environnement en cas de pluies exceptionnellement intenses.
