PrimeTech and MAG toward a mine-free world

PrimeTech and MAG toward a mine-free world

PT 300 D Mine MAG 1

Following an international tender for a mechanical demining machine, Prime Tech has been selected by MAG (Mine Advisory Group) – a Non-Profit Organization for mine clearance, for the supply of one Medium mechanical demining asset: the PT-300 D:Mine, provided with a FAE demining tiller and an additional state of the art rotor.
PrimeTech turned out to be the bidder whose combination of technical and price proposals represents the best value to MAG.
In November this year, the PT-300 D:Mine has been successfully accredited by the UNMAS South Sudan (United Nations Mine Action Service).
Mr John Janion, Technical Operations Manager at MAG South Sudan has confirmed that a team of operators and mechanics completed training to operate the machine.

The Mine Advisory Group strives to create safe environments by reducing the threat and impact of landmines and explosive remnants of war throughout South Sudan.
This will be the next test for PT-300 D:Mine: – a multi-purpose tracked carrier providing maximum flexibility for the user, especially in the challenging environment of South Sudan.

The whole region is in fact characterised by hard ground conditions during the dry season and dense vegetation after the rainy season.
“We are very honored that MAG chose our technical know-how for helping people to be safe from landmines and unexploded ordnance ” – says PrimeTech’s Sales Manager for Demining Eng. Emilio Canales. “Our PT-300 D:Mine will be used in terrains with heavy vegetation and hard ground helping MAG to improve demining productivity and ensuring safety of their operators.”

PT-300 D:Mine is a demining machine designed to clear anti-personnel and anti-tank mines in the most difficult conditions for different purposes: for military force protection, to safeguard civilian populations, to ensure that land is safe for agricultural and residential development, to clear areas for oil and natural gas exploration and extractive mining operations.

PT-300 D:Mine is powered by a John Deere inline 6-cylinder engine, a 275 HP power plant that together with the unique rotor design guarantees very high productivity in all conditions.
An innovative remote control ensures accurate guidance of the vehicle at a range of up to 1000 meters.

The PT-300 D:Mine is a machine built for severe-duty jobs, with a rugged and extremely resistant structure made of special steels selected for their exceptional strength, offering a very high level of reliability.

PT-300 D:Mine is equipped with a FAE 300/TD tiller, which is specifically designed for mine clearance.
Working width of the 300/TD is 2500 mm, and average working depth is over 200 mm. The design of the tiller head and rotor in combination with the materials used, limit the damage in the event of exploding mines. Other types of the front attachment can be mounted as required (forestry mulcher, forestry tiller, rock crusher and dozer blade).

The PT-300 D:Mine has been thoroughly tested and certified to CWA 15044:2009 standards as a medium size mechanical demining machine.

The idea of the PT-400 with rear ripper is based on the request from plantations to be able to mulch the slash between the stumps and at the same time to rip 2 lines to prepare the soil for plantation. Basically with this unit 2 jobs can be done in one pass only, helping to reduce considerably the costs for soil preparation in plantations.
