DEMINING

Mechanical demining carriers need to be robust, reliable, and capable of moving over rough terrain, ready to withstand the explosions of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, war remnants, and unexploded ordnance with explosive loads equivalent to anti-tank mines. FAE tracked carriers from the PT D:Mine Series are remote controlled units designed and certified to neutralize anti-personnel mines, anti-tank mines, IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), and UXOs (Unexploded Explosive Ordnance). They can work in very harsh environments that are difficult to access, such as steep slopes or areas with dense vegetation. FAE carriers are used by NGOs, certified demining companies, and armed forces. Applications range from preparing terrain for minefield clearance or to prepare the ground for unexploded ordnance clearance in combat zones (Battle Area Clearance). The result is the land release and restoration for civilian activity such as farming, new housing developments, road construction, also for building crossings and runways for civilian or military carriers.
