En Italia nace un nuevo material reciclado para la construcción de carreteras

El reciclado de materiales destinados a la eliminación es un tema de gran actualidad y, probablemente, la única solución para evitar la explotación continua de nuestros recursos naturales. Una empresa italiana, Marchesi Movimento Terra de Pianoro (Bolonia), ha puesto a punto una mezcla altamente eficiente para utilizarla en la construcción de carreteras, denominada "MPS 0-63" - compuesta por áridos inertes procedentes del reciclado de residuos de construcción.

La empresa Marchesi creó este nuevo material a raíz de haber recibido un importante pedido: el suministro de aproximadamente 26.000 m3 de material para utilizarlo en la construcción del cuerpo del terraplén de una importante obra de infraestructuras. La empresa Marchesi, que se ocupa de la transformación de áridos y que posee una plataforma para la recuperación y valorización de residuos de construcción y de carreteras, decide proponer al mandante una solución alternativa: el uso de un nuevo material reciclado.

Gracias a la utilización de una FAE MTH, los residuos inertes (por ejemplo, cemento, ladrillos y azulejos) se fresan de forma homogénea y se les añade un aglutinante hidráulico con el fin de obtener un material acabado de excelentes prestaciones. La ventaja es doble: además de su innegable valor ecológico, cabe destacar también el menor coste de este material reciclado con respecto a los tradicionales.

La labor de la máquina multifunción FAE MTH ha sido esencial para el éxito de la operación: para tratar todo el material han sido necesarios dos meses de trabajo, durante los cuales la máquina MTH ha procesado aproximadamente 1.000 m3 de material al día. La constancia de la producción y la fiabilidad de la máquina han sido, sin lugar a duda, las características más apreciadas en esta fase del trabajo.

El nuevo material se sometió posteriormente a pruebas físicas y mecánicas, con la realización de un campo de pruebas para verificar la capacidad portante y evaluar la docilidad y reproducibilidad en planta de la nueva mezcla.

La excelente calidad del material, corroborada por el éxito de todos los ensayos técnicos, ha permitido que el Mandante y el Contratista adoptasen el "MPS-0-63”.

La producción de materiales reciclados para la construcción de carreteras no será solo un caso aislado para esta empresa: de hecho, ya está prevista la llegada de un segundo encargo con características similares. En este caso, sin embargo, el material reciclado se utilizará para la realización de un carril bici de 4 km de longitud cerca de Bolonia.
