FAE RPL/HY/MINI road planer for asphalt or concrete for 2-4 ton excavators
The RPL/HY/MINI is a road planer for 2-4 ton excavators, capable of milling down to 9 cm / 3.5 in deep. It is ideal for preparing road surfaces for a new layer of asphalt or concrete to be applied, or for simplifying excavation operations. The wide range of motion of the self-leveling excavator attachment system allows the head to stay properly aligned during operation. The range is completed by teeth specially designed for asphalt or concrete surfaces. Road planers are used to mill road surfaces, partially or fully removing the asphalt or concrete layer through a process known as cold planing. During this process, the road surface is milled using dedicated teeth arranged along the rotor according to a special layout, designed by FAE to increase performance and reduce vibration. The RPL/HY/MINI is especially suited to applications requiring the maneuverability, flexibility and precision of an excavator, such as tight corners, sidewalks or utility infrastructure, like manholes.
