FAE USA TALKS WORLD OF ASPHALT: WHERE INDUSTRY PROS GO FOR THE LATEST AND GREATEST INNOVATIONS
AEM chatted with Giorgio Carera, CEO of FAE USA Inc., about World of Asphalt this past week, exploring what exhibitors and attendees alike should be excited to experience while at the show, which will run from March 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee.
World of Asphalt is North America’s leading international exposition and education resource for the asphalt, pavement maintenance, and traffic safety industries. AEM, alongside the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) is looking forward to welcoming back all asphalt industry professionals for three days of key networking, educational opportunities, and industry exploration.
AEM: Why do you feel that it is important to have a presence at the World of Asphalt show, and what value does the show bring to exhibitors?
Carera: It’s important for FAE to exhibit at and attend the World of Asphalt show because we get the opportunity to showcase our latest products and technologies, and to highlight our innovation in the industry. It is our chance to tap into potential customers due to increased visibility while in Nashville.
World of Asphalt allows us to network with other professionals in the road construction industry, and it allows us to keep an eye on what our competitors may be doing, while giving us a better idea of market trends. Face-to-face interactions with existing and potential end-users provides us with an opportunity to better understand their needs, gather feedback directly from them, and address any consumer concerns directly.
Lastly, but certainly not least, the show is a very valuable source of education through its educational seminars that allow attendees to learn about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices that are constantly evolving.
AEM: What will you be showcasing while in Nashville? And what are you most excited to share with other exhibitors or attendees?
Carera: FAE will be showcasing our most updated line of cold planers for skid steers and track loaders, as well as our cold planers for excavators. These cold planers are widely used by paving contractors and municipalities alike for small milling projects, such as pothole repair, removing degraded pavement, and for milling curb lines prior to overlay.
We will be also showcasing our Wheel Saw/Rock Saw (RWM/SSL) for skid steers. We think attendees will be interested in these products because they are made for most demanding road-cutting applications.
This attachment is ideal for cutting trenches through asphalt and concrete, as well as hard dirt for installing fiberoptics, electrical cables, water lines, and any other utilities that go underground.
Last, but certainly not least, we plan to display a cold planer attached to our remote-controlled machine (RCU), which is the most innovative solution we have ever presented at an asphalt show.
AEM: What do you think attendees will be or should be excited to see and experience at the show?
Carera: The latest FAE technology, new industry trends, and solutions are what we are excited for attendees to see, and we hope that they are excited to see what we plan to showcase. I think that one of the biggest value-adds to the show, for attendees and exhibitors alike, is the networking and the opportunity to see the manufacturers who make the equipment that they use every day. It’s a chance to talk to the manufacturers, ask questions, see new innovations, and network with other industry professionals.
