PrimeTech Demining Demo Day 2017



The 2017 PrimeTech Demining Demo Day took place at the end of August in Italy, near Sarnonico, where PrimeTech’s global headquarters are located.
Customers had a chance to check out and run the PT-300 D:Mine with the new FAE 300/TD demining tiller and the PT-175 D:Mine with the mulching head FAE 140/U (both with remote control), as well as visit the PrimeTech and FAE production facilities.

Both models demonstrated great maneuverability and their serviceability has been highly appreciated by all the attendees.

The PT-300 D:Mine, is a mid-size remote controlled demining machine powered by a 6 cylinder, 6,8 l John Deere engine, producing 275 hp. It has been designed to perform ground preparation and clearance tasks in anti-personnel (AP) and anti-tank (AT) contaminated minefields, in support of humanitarian demining and route clearance operations.
During the demo, the PT-300 D:Mine was tested on a very rough and steep slope and the working depth was set at two different levels: over 20 cm for demining and over 5 cm for vegetation clearance.
Attendees were very impressed by the extraordinary climbing ability of the machine while tilling at max working depth.
The new features of the demining tiller and the machine itself are:
- automatic depth control
- automatic forward speed control
- adjustable working depth
- red flashing light on machine for alarms

The PT-175 D:Mine was operated with a forestry mulcher and showed high productivity during the vegetation clearance tasks.
Its key features are:
- easy to be transported
- maneuverability
- suitable for AP mines clearance operations.
Feedback from the attendees, coming from all around the world, was extremely positive. Especially the friendly use of the machine with the automatic functions and the capability to climb and till simultaneously.
